PROGRESS has funded the purchase of fruit tea bags

Offering tea bags supports patients recovering from surgery, at the Royal Surrey in Guildford, who are restricted to free fluids only. The initiative aims to improve comfort and morale for patients during a challenging stage of recovery, when dietary options can be extremely limited.
Dietitian Claire Froud welcomed the support from the charity, highlighting the positive impact even small changes can make to patient wellbeing. She said: “Patients restricted to free fluids can find the experience frustrating and monotonous. Having a selection of fruit teas available gives them more variety, comfort and enjoyment at a difficult time in their recovery.”
The funding reflects the PROGRESS charity's ongoing commitment to enhancing patient care and supporting projects that improve the hospital experience for patients and their families. Staff say the teas have already been well received on wards, with patients appreciating both the choice and the thoughtful gesture behind the initiative.
We are hugely grateful to Richard at
Craddocks printing in Godalming who generously printed the insert leaflets for free.
